Default AC problem

I have a v6 99 mustang. The AC just recently has been blowing ice cold air, now it will blow ice cold for about 20 seconds then it blows warm air for about 20 seconds then back to ice cold air. And back and forth about every 20 seconds. Anyone know what might be causing this. I hate to take it into the shop cause they say it might be electrical or low on coolant for the AC. I am sure someone has had this or heard of this happening on AC systems before and any advice would be appreciated to save me a few bucks from the repair shop.

Sounds like its something causing the compressor to kick in and off constantly. Check the freon level.

Sounds like the recycling switch may be going out on you.

I went ahead and put it on vent as to not tax out the compressor anymore. I am hoping to take it to the shop in 2 weeks.. Since it is cold outside I am no rush to get it fixed until I have the money.
