Default tire width

whats the widest tire i can slap on the stock 15s cause this 205 65 isnt cutting it i had to sell my bullits and cobras and im rolling stocks they need new tires but im so used to having 17x9 on and im sliding all over lol so was wonderind how big can i go with the 15s without causing wear problems

Correct, but that 15" reference is to the diameter of the wheels, not the width.

yes but any stock 15" is a 7 inch wide rim

Um, all stock 15" rims on the SN95 Mustangs are 7" wide. It's straight from Ford that way.... no Bible needed.

I'd look at a 245 width max. Also look at something with better tread. Even wide tires can be crappy if the the tread pattern sucks.

thanks matt if thats the case why does ford put 205/65/15s on there lol so tiny and the wheels are actually off of a new edge sixer does that make a difference

nah all ford 15"s are 7" wide. and they but 205 cause they are cheaper than a 245

Yup, Ford does what it can to save money in the long run. 205 on the sixers works for 99% of the sixer owners out there.
