Agreed. Those heads should be upgraded to the PI heads from 99-04 at least. If not, take them off for some serious port work then run some boost to it.

Edit: There were some great SVO heads back then if you can track them down.

. The engine will fit fine. It's physically smaller than the 4.6 and no small block will make the power that big block will. Don't let no shade tree mechanic tell u different. Very few mods to that big block will make gobs of tourqe you just need some stiffer springs and shocks up front. I've did this swap in my bullitt. If u shop around like I did I got a 460 that makes 630 at the wheels for less than 3000

You can swap any kind of motor into any kind of vehicle if you have the time and money , I have neither so I stay away from useless projects that will never be street legal

What's your credentials? I have ASE certified friends who can't change an exhaust manifold on his own. I've got more wisdom and insight from "shade tree mechanics" that have never cracked a book than I have from people who went to school or work in a shop. Every motor has its limits. If you told someone 20 years ago that you could buy a v6 mustang with more power from the factory than the v8s at that time they'd laugh you into an asylum.

Yeah lol I noticed that but the guy I quoted posted this month. I just don't like seeing people leaving false hope/bad ideas/ and misinformation for someone to find later. Especially when they bash about 90% of the people on the forum they are posting on.
