Well decent power would be at least faster than my wifes Olds Alero with the 3.4L auto. I thought about trying to sell it and saving my money for a 99 thru 04 Mustang. If I can't get what I want for it going to keep my eyes open for a 302 Mustang that has been swaped over to a carb as DBovine mentioned . I'm over 60 and everything I know about fuel injection/management could be sumed up in a couple short sentances.

V6 fox is a rare car, don't remove the thing that makes it rare. I'd love to find a sixer fox - especially a four eye. So many 5.0L guys got pissed when I started to yank the 302 out of one of my fox hatches to replace it with a built V6 I had in my Roush.

If I had the money and time, this'd be in my car.

That'll probably make you faster than 90% of the cars in your town.

The 302 from back then makes less power than a current V6.

With that said if you can build up the v6 foxbody I would go that route as well, build what you have seems to be what I keep going back to.

v6 fox would be a fun project, doubt there are any parts out there, and it may take you a while to get good numbers at the track, but it would be neat to see where it started at and where it gets to

Decent power would be at least faster than my wifes Olds Alero with the 3.4L v6. Actually I'm going to take a shot at selling it and getting a later model, late 90s or early 00s. If not it'll have to be engine swap, most likely a carburated 302 as DBovine mentioned. Anyone know if the trans would interchange from the v6 to the v8, or what kind of trans I've got even. Thanks

The 3.8L and the 4.2L are the same block etc... the major difference is the crank that the F150 used. The 4.2L = the pushrod 5.0L for power.
There are several places to look for power goodies on the sixer. Super Six Motorsports and Delk Performance are the first two places I'd look. We can steal a lot of parts from other pushrods (especially the 351s)...we just use 2 fewer of everything.
