Default 1994 Ford Mustang Purchase

Hey everyone. I am right now looking at a 1994 Ford Mustang 3.8L V6 Coupe AT to purchase. The car is listed at $500 and the guy says that the transmission slips when warm and he believes its because he put the wrong transmission fluid in it when he changed the fluid. He also listed that the tranny was rebuilt in '04. The car body looks fairly good, just some minor surface rust in some areas but the bad thing is the rocker panels under the drivers door is badly rusted out. My questions are as follows: 1. Is the car worth purchasing. 2. Can the rocker panel below the door be replaced with like a body kit or is it a part of the unibody structure, 3. At a later point in time can the automatic transmission be swapped for a manual transmission such as a T-5, 4. Is the suspected reason for the tranny slipping possible, I have read that Ford recommends Mercon Tranny fluid and if the guy used something else is it unreasonable to suspect that the tranny would slip. Also I have priced used AODE Trannys from 300-550 and rebuilt ones from 600-800 so I have no problem replacing the tranny or rebuilding it. Any information would be helpful and feel free to leave suggestions. Thanks for your time.

Just me, I never trust people on transmissions.

Why not just put the 800 youd be spending on a trans and the 500 you have for a car and get something a few years newer?

$500 and it runs, that's what it's worth. Doesn't matter if the tranny blows, it's a $500 car.

yeah man just pick it up and who knows, if the tranny ends up being bad, you could end up parting it out, you may end up making more money at the worst possible situation.
