Present on my door step today! Roush Alcon Brake p0rn
#16
Thanks guy, it was by a stroke of luck that ThunderHorse listed these up for sale before I got ahold of the guy in Florida.
LilRoush knows a guy that is getting rid of his 14" Alcon's, PM him if your interested.
The 01' Cobra swap is for my wifes 96' sixxer, I plan to keep the 01' a sixxer as my track car/ DD.
I gotta keep my eyes open for a 13" rear kit for an IRS but thats going to be really hard to find used or new/second hand so by the time I need them I will just get them from Bruce at Full Tilt Boogie Racing.
My car is stock right now but I have a lot of parts in reserve right now.
When I start DriveMod XL I will start with the simple and easy parts first and put the vids up on my YouTube channel (DriveMod XL)
The brakes will go on after the IRS swap, I have to keep things in around the same order that someone would go in if they were grabbing parts when they could.
In short, I will test the setup after the IRS is put in, then the new brakes will go on and test again.
Braking power will be way up but handling will be down a hair because of the increased unsprung weight from the bigger brakes up fron and the heavier wheels.
My stock wheels are 17.5lbs and tires are 24lbs
If I have to go with 2000 Cobra R's the coated 18x9.5 come in at 27lbs each.
If I can fit Cobra 10th's then those are 21.5lbs (Some said 23lbs)
95R's clear and are 21lbs
Really I will probably go with an 18" wheel because of cooling issues that might come up not to mention having at least a 9.5" wide wheel will be best for braking.
I might upgrade to 10" all around later on in the show depending if I buy a few goodies from Tiger racing.
There are a lot of directions I can go.

I think these are S197 version though, I am not sure the backspacing and offset diff between them yet though, I have to research more of if you know off the top of your head could you post the info?

Here is a black one that I found, but its only one and I cant find matching wheels anywhere. I assume its custom from another vender.
I really like these.

lol, Thanks I guess...
I dont have much money so I have to try to make it work and stretch far.
As far as I know they are not coated by Roush but rather the raw wheels were probably sent to a dealer and they coated them like that, or an average Joe grabbed up a set of raw wheels and had them coated.
I have only seen them in Chrome from Roush.
