Ordering the new wheels.. Do these tire sizes sound ok....
Ok so I finally am gonna order my new wheels.. Since my car is not lowered I was thinking of beefing up the tires to help fill the car a little.. I am going with the staggered look of 9's in the front and 10's in the back.. I see AM recommends 275/35 in the front and 285/35 in the rear.. I was thinking of doing 275/40 in the front and 285/40 in the rear.. a little extra meat on the sidewalls.. Do these sizes sound ok??

Why are you ordering wheels if your selling the car?
Why are you ordering wheels instead of finishing your car?
Meanwhile, here is a tire calculator for you. They are all over the place.

btw, in your pic you are lowered and have wheels already.... What gives?
Nevermind, I just looked in your garage, your car for sure isnt lowered and I dont blame ya for wanting to change those wheels.

LOL... Yea.. I changed my mind.. The Vette is nice but i LOVE the stang lol.. Plus a 2 seater isnt my style.. while the backseat isnt huge its nice to fit more then 2 people in the car.. plus.. It would be nice to finish the car and take out some V8's and let them know they got beat by a 6 lol.. Plus at least I know how the engine has been treated in my car.. less then 1k on my motor vs 54k on the vette and not knowing if it was abused or mistreated..
as far as being lowered goes.. as i stated in the first thread.. I was lowered with teh Eibach kit which lowers the car 1.5 all around.. after driving for like 30 miles around my house i almost lost the passenger side exhaust and bottomed out like 100 times.. and as far as the wheels go.. well as you stated they arnt that great looking.. they came off my brothers Acura when he sold it.. the tires are crap and dont hold air and the wheels ever so slightly hit the caliper... i mean just barely but you can see some minor chips of the caliper paint gone..
lastly I am looking at 18's

What size tire/rim are you running on those rims from the Acura?
That might be the cause of your problem.
Since you dont have a starting point for a size to put into the tire calculator, 245/45/17 for a standard size to measure against.

25.5" is the stock tire diameter fyi. that is if your size is 205/65/15.
Interesting... my 285/35's has 11 less revs/mile than stock tires.... so that means my odometer is actually less than what it should say?

You'll need to look at each tire. They very by brand when it comes to actual physical size.
I run BFG 265/35 fronts and 295/35 rear on 18x9 and 18x10 rims. They are perfect for fit and keeping stock rolling radius.
