Default Advice about rotors

I need rotors on my car but I dont have a lot of money to spend. I was looking on ebay (about $60 for 2 front rotors and 4 brake pads) but I dont want to go too cheap and end up having any problems. Can anyone recommend inexpensive but good rotors/brake pads?

I bough my drilled/slotted rotors for my 5.0 on ebay and they have held up very well especially for the price. I forgot their name but I bought a front/rear set for about $160 if memory serves me right. Check the feedback of the seller and see what others say. Also make sure the rotor is zinc coated to protect against rist. Don't worry about kits with pads because the pads will likely be rock bottom quality. Go to autozone and get ceramic pads.

Back in 07/08 somewhere up in there.

Get these, seller has perfect feeback and these are good solid brakes that will give you a performance boost over stock brakes.

They are the same rotor, pad and caliper between the V6 and GT.

The Bullitt, Mach 1 and Cobra are the models that have an upgrade over the sixxer and GT.

I got a deal same price for drilled/slotted rotors and pads on e bay. Made by Powerstop. They have worked flawlessly for 18 months now. You can sort of see what they look like from picture:

Yeah now that somebody mentioned it I think mine on my 5.0 were power stop brand. Cobra size rotors cost a little more. But yeah, a lot of stuff on ebay is junk, but certain rotor companies make pretty damn good rotors which makes me question why places charger $200/$450/$750+ for stock or drilled/slotted rotors. They are all a piece of metal that at any time could become warped or damaged by use so why spend 10X extra on something that could get damaged tomorrow by having to suddenly slam on breaks causing warpage.

To OP, all 94-04 V6s and GTs use the same rotor. Just like all 94-04 Cobras/Mach 1s have the same rotor.
