Default Questions about my "new to me"04

Hey gang, Just got a new toy to mess around with. Posted up in the new member area. Chomping at the bit here. For starters i'm going to get the little boogers fixed first. Sorry for the noob questions.

1. My car has a Mach audio system in it. Sounds great other than the fact the passenger side speaker is blown/buzzing really bad. Can a replacement speaker be found anywhere ? ebay ? Not ready to upgrade the whole sound system just yet.

2. On the passenger side lower door sil. There is a black plastic strip "don't know what it's called to search". Seem that it is used to hold the side effect onto the car ? The divers side has it "says Mustang". Anyone know what it is called and where it can be found ?

Not too sure about what you're describing as far as the part goes.

For the blown speaker all you need is a mach 460 speaker for that door.

What I would say, because they're dirt cheap to find is get a whole new mach 460 speaker set and swap them all out or keep them for back up.

If you get the Mach 1000 subs and amp rack I could tell you how to hook it up. Very simple once you know what you're looking for.

Would you recommend finding NEW mach 460 speakers, or finding them from parted cars?

He doesnt mean buying "NEW" speakers, he means new to you, but used and in good working order.

I have a pair of front door speakers from an 01' Cobra if you would like them.

Just PM me and I can shoot you a price shipped.

Have a replacement speaker on the way from the bay "ty Neo" I found some info on the net about the Mach systems. Seems that i have a Mach 1000 head unit. I dont think the subs and amps would work with the vert.

Next up is going to be the front end. Alinement is over due and it feels like a ball joint is out. NYC is murder on cars ! The PS pump is whiney as F##k. I didn't realize how bad they were. Also going to get the exhaust looked at. Has the Pypes system. Seems nice enough but not sure how good it was installed.

Not sure where i want to go from there. It's not going to be a daliy driver, just a joy car for nice days. I have a little Nissan Versa thats my work car. I'm open to any ideas from you guys.

The subs and amp are the same for the vert but use different mounts.

Quality ball joints are expensive and many places will charge you $30+ to press out the old ones and press in the new ones, so your looking at $60+ just for ball joint labor.

IMO the best thing you can do is spend a little more money and buy a set of 03/04 Cobra A-Arms which will be complete with new low friction HD ball joints and 50% stiffer bushings. They also have a better turn in radius, your chassis is already notched too on the upper frame rail factory.

That pypes system sits really low on our mustangs.. eventually I gave up and had my exhaust guy weld all the pieces together. It never fell off since then
