What to look for when buying a used 2001 v6 convertible?
Hey guys!
I'm new to the forum and hopefully will stay for a while
I'm going to test drive a 2001 mustang 3.8l convertible automatic with 50k miles on it.
I contacted the owner and he gave me some details and sent me a few pics.
He told me:
It has a manual top without any leaks
Got a new battery and alternator installed (will provide receipts)
New tires
he said he takes it out of his garage every weekend and takes it to a shop to get it waxed once a month.
Flushed all engine fluids and replaced except the tranny fluid which he said should be good til 70k miles.
What should I look for when I test drive it tomorrow? He's asking $6,000 for it.

It looks like an auto top (the switch is there) unless it no longer works...
OP keep in perspective that the audio system is NOT the Mach audio system as the rear tweeters and door tweeters are missing. Just don't want you expecting more than you'll be getting.
Definitely look for stretches and tears in the top... also, if it's going to rain sometime in the next couple days, wait until then to check the car out outside... might wanna see if it leaks... Unless he doesn't allow it in the rain...
