Default Whats next for speed/power?

is it worth buying a tuner for a manual transmission? I have a CAI and flowmaster true duals. Just want to know whats next for power and speed but not kill gas mileage. I currently am at 21 mpg. Also i would like to keep the price as low as it goes, i like to add into the car here and there and not just kill my wallet! Thanks

Takes fuel to make power.

so get the tuner before getting the gears? and which tuner is the best for the v6 mustangs? ive heard the the tuners are good for automatics because of the shift points, is it really going to do anything for a manual transmission?

You have to have a tuner to run the gears, if you don't get a tune for the gears you want your transmission won't shift properly

The tuner will yield minimal gains. With your car being near stock they won't be bennificial. If you get gears you will need one. They're good for 5-8 rwhp with a good tune.

Another thing, i have about 125,000 miles on it right now. so what everyone is saying is to get the gears first (which my guess would be the 3.73 for manual tranny?) and then by the bama tuner?
-if that is right, would the tuner actually pick back up the mpg that i will probably be losing by adding the gears?

All i really want is to be fast without spending a fortune (supercharger/nos/ buying a gt)

Fast and cheap don't go together.
I'd pick one or the other.

To OP

That depends on your definition of "fast" there isn't really any way to make a 99-04 Mustang v6 "fast" without the use of several thousand dollars. Now if you're a mechanic and have a few connections at machine shops you could port and polish your heads/intake and get somebody to cut you a custom cam, but even then you're only sitting at 220 ish rwhp.

220 rwhp is pretty quick but again it depends on your definition of fast. Some people mean fast as top speed, some quick acceleration, others, the ability to negotiate turns quickly.
