96 ford mustang 3.8L manual


had my check engine light come on so i went to pep boys to have my cel pulled and it came back with 2 codes stating P 1443 and MILs On. the guy who pulled the code for me said there's a duplicate stating more then 1 problem.

i did a bit of research and most ppl stating that its the purge valve solenoid and purge flow sensor.. i bought the sensor at napa since its the same exact one ford uses since it looks very identical. i bought the purge valve solenoid at autozone.. i replaced both in 5 minutes

check engine light is still on.. any other suggestions guys? btw, what does "MILs ON" mean?

i've tried researching and no outcome what so ever, help would be appreciated. thanks in advanced

P1443 Evaporative Emission Control System - Vacuum System - Purge Control Solenoid or Purge Control Valve fault

After you installed the parts did you have the codes cleared? If not, then the CEL will remain on. Get them cleared and then see if they come back. Good luck...
