Question 2002 3.8L in a 94 body

I have a 94 convertible with 3.8 engine. The previous owner put a 2002 engine in it, but it still has the 94 wiring harness and computer.

There is a fuel pressure and temperature sensor - part number F8CF 9F972 BH that came with the 2002 engine. This part should have a couple wires attached to it, but the 94 wiring harness and computer does not support this.

It is currently running with the part installed, but no wires connected. Is this OK or is it a problem?

I am going over every part of this mismatched engine/car to understand what I've got and figure out what if anything needs to be modified.

Any advice is great.

Did they use just the block or did they do a full swap split port top end and all?
