Default Power Window Problem After Car Accident

A few months ago a 18 wheeler truck ran into the drivers's side of my 2001 stang while I was driving on the freeway, it pretty much ruined most of the driver's side of the vehicle. Immediately after the accident my power windows would no longer work on either side driver or passenger... When I got the car fixed I had to put a new door on it, I got a used door from the junkyard.... I have put the new door on and have had the car fixed and repainted but the power windows still refuse to work..... All other power items work on the doors but the power windows.... What could the accident have damaged that caused the windows to not work even after replacing the door????

I believe the person who did the body work did exchange the wiring but I could be wrong... You think its the wiring even though it wasn't working with the original damaged door right after the accident??

the wiring doesnt have a connector in the jam, so most likely its the same wiring that was in the damaged door. if the problem was there before and after, you must focus on what didnt change

OK cool, that makes sense, Is replacement wiring something I could purchase from somewhere like american muscle or somewhere similar? or would i have to take it from a junk yard vehicle....

you would have to find the broken/shorted wire, and fix it. wiring diagrams and a knowledge of how the system works is improtant

Personally u would bring the car back to what ever shop you paid to fix the car and have them figure it out, but connections and wires are a good placr to start

I'm with this, you paid them to fix it, and they didn't. Make them do what you paid them for.
