I have a 1999 mustang with a t5 5 speed transmission. Out of no where the car starts to make a noise like there is a bunch of frogs making noises like they do in the summer. Well i just did a clutch job but never did to the pilot bearing. But here lately it seems like it only happens when i give it gas and when i let off it goes away. I will attach a video of what it does when it happens. Please help and thank you all!!!!

Does it go away when you push in the clutch? Sounds like the throw out bearing. They can make some horrible noise.

Yep throw out bearing for sure.

Could be your cam positioning sensor. The bearing wears out and it makes that noise.

did the TOB get put in wrong? my brother bought one where it wasn't set up right, causing very fast wear and failure. i change that **** during a clutch job also it really doesn't save the 15 bux when u have to do it all over again.

Oh, it doesn't have't to be put in wrong to make noise. Paid the dealer at 110K to replace the clutch in my 00 V6 and within 12 months and 15K miles, they had replaced it no less than 3 times. The last time I decided to ignore it and in about 5K miles it finally quit all by itself. I sold the car shortly after.
