Default Fog Light wiring

hello,

i am a new memeber as u can see. and i wanted to ask a question about fog light wiring. i have an 04 3.8L V6 . i recently bought a GT bumper and the dude that i bought it from gave me the Wiring Harnes that's i can connect behind the fog lights. now , i've been told that i can wire the fog lights using 2 methods . First is to get a Fog light Switch and replace the button in the Dash (that button is lined with the TC and the rear defroster ). then a wiring harnes that connects that switch to the battery or so. the second method is just simply connect the forg light harnes end with the Head light switch wire, so when i twist the **** for headlight, it automatically swithc on the fog lights.

i am thinking of doing the second method, but i am afraid that am gonna over load the wire and maybe Fry it.

so i need u'r advice in that matter plaease , pretty please.

Wouldnt you want to have control over whether your fog lights were on or not? I have kinda looked into getting the foglights and what i've seen is to hook it up with the battery, and putting the button next to the rear defrost. Thats how I would want it anyway.

And are you sure your 04 is a 3.8L? Mines a 3.9L.......

3.9L ain't ever gonna be worth anything collector-car wise.
I would just wire the foglights in with the reg. headlights. from the factory, they don't turn on unless the headlights are on anyway.

Depends on when your car was built and whether or not they were still using the 3.8 at the time. They ran out of that engine and ended up using the 3.9's for the last run of 6ers... it's the v6 that comes in the windstar minivan or whatnot.

And as far as collector cars go, it won't be worth anything... its still a v6 stang.
