I own a 1998 V6 3.8L V6 Mustang AUTOMATIC and I can't figure out what size axel I have? I want to buy some new rear gears so I can get a little more acceleration but idk what size to get also. My friend who drags, said he would suggest 4.10's what do you think?

Being as its a '98, it has 2:73 gears in it now, so 3:73's would be quite an upgrade as it is, but I say depends on how much highway vs. city driving you do.
thats around 21k with 4.10 gears?? would any one by any chance have any track times with just gears?? auto tranny?? im debating if the cost would be worth it or to just leave the sixxer alone and get another mustang later on.
If your serious about modifying spend the money, if not, don't both save the grand. And 2,100 rpm's is with the stock 3.27's in the 99-04's since you have lower gears I would imagine yours would be lower.
