Default Lentech Auto

wanting to swap out my T5 for a Lentech 4r70. my mods are basically a TMA Turbo kit, Maximum Motorsports suspension and an 03 Cobra IRS. just trying to figure out what stall to go with and which model. the 2 i am thinking of are the 800 and 1000 hp models. i figure i can't break one with my set up and future plans. any help would be awesome.

go with a more affordable trans, like one from Performance Transmission Solutions. a mild 500hp trans will be more than enough for your car. If you want to keep your car street driven, don't stall it higher than about 3100 or 3200 rpms. After that point the torque converter fans are set at an angle in which they will have trouble locking up at low rpms. You'd turn it into a snowmobile basically lol

if you really are serious about this, I am looking for a v6 five speed and will buy your t5

Then pick up the 800hp trans. I think you would be fine with less, but its better to have something and not need it; than to need something and not have it.

Make sure you do something to stiffen up the IRS, wheel hop will kill that and any transmission you run faster than the power your car makes.

What all do you have? I know someone with Level 5 everything, IRS brace, and a mix of griggs and mm parts and he's still wheel hopped his L5 halfshaft's apart a few times.
