It may be the same, but you should check on the year the wheels were made for..... different generations have different off set and back spacing. Don't want to buy rims that won't truly work on the car.

For the rear 275/40 are a nice size, anything else just doesn't look right behind a mustang....

315s on a 10.5 FTW

i had 255-40-17 on rear once and without lowering the car i thought they looked dumb and the 275 is .7" taller....... car was a little faster (a little) with the 255's because they weigh less than the 275s and were a shorter tire dont know where the time slips are to show the difference because it was about 2 years ago.... now running 245s up front and 275s out back and i am happy with the stance! dont have the rims/tires back on the car yet or else id post a picture. need to get the winter rims off!!...... and still in the works to lower it.... maybe tomorrow!

the Cobra R's had 9" (9.5 for the 00), and the 03-04 cobra had 9". otherwise, 8" wide for SVT's

Actually OEM 99 Cobra rims are 8" wide, not 9"

And yes they do use 245/45/17. You can put 245s on 9" wide rims but the sidewalls will surely wear quickly.
