Default Got my new computer! 1080p editing here I come! :D

Whelp I got my new system so I can start editing the DriverMod XL video's!

I ended up going cheap on it (Just $150) and not getting the i7 SandyBridge 2600K because come Q4 this year a new platform is being released and the SandyBridge is going to drop like a rock, price wise.

I ended up picking up a LGA775 Core Duo 2.6ghz 2 core custom built system.
I am running 4gb of G.Skill 5-5-5-15 DDR2 1066 (pc2 8500) and am going to grab another 4gb for it. Its one of the fastest but doesnt come in a 2x4gb so I can only max out at 8gb for the board.

The board can take up to 16gb but the few brands that offer 1066 2x4gb sticks are like $600 for 16gb or 4 sticks.

For the vid card I am running a GeForce 9500 GT 512mb GDDR3.
I actually have a better vid card in my older build but its an AGP card and the new system is PCIe, its a HD 3850 512mb.

Also have a SB Audigy Gold.

I can upgrade the system to a Yorkfield XE QX9770 Quad 3.2ghz, 12mb L2 cache CPU.

Pretty much the only upgrades I want to make to the system are.

* 4gb more G.Skill
* SSD Primary drive (Already have a 1Tb SATA drive, Barracuda 7200.11 32mb cache as my storage drive.)
* Another HD Radeon Card
* QX9770 - Quad Core CPU.

Buying used will save a lot of money, the SSD is the only thing that would be bought new.
I was planning on spending $6-700 on my SandyBridge build so I figure this will save me some cash right now and I can get my 1080p DriverMod XL vids to you guys.

Overclocked the new system this morning, 100% stable under all stress tests. :}
Went from 2.6ghz (36C Max Temp Stress) To 3.5ghz (46C Max Temp Stress)
Win7 Benchmarks increased very well too.
Old Marks: CPU (6.0) Mem (6.0) Graphics (6.6) Gaming (6.6) HHD (5.2)
New Marks: CPU (6.7) Mem (6.7) Graphics (6.6) Gaming (6.6) HHD (5.2)
...
Needless to say, I am happy.
Next I will OC the GPU!

I didnt build this system, bought it built and needing a few upgrades. :P

Thinking about a used GTX 590 if I can find a good enough deal on one.

That way when I build my Sandybridge system I can pull it and grab another GTX 950 and have an uber SLI setup.

My 9500 GT isnt ALL that bad, its the GF Overclocked version with GDDR3 but still, its not great.

I have Sony Vegas Pro 10.

For some of my pics you can check out my flickr, I used a 7D and 1D Mark III.

I OC'ed my system a little more today and got to 3.64ghz @ 49C under load. I pushed the 9500 GT a little more too, but not much being that its already factory OC'ed.

I managed to OC to 3.68ghz (Post says 3.7ghz) and I scored a 1.95 in CineBench.

Not bad coming from 2.6ghz and a score of 1.36, to give you an idea of what the numbers mean, Core I7's run in the mid 5's and my old system froze up and wouldnt post.
