Default How can i convince a coworker to not destroy his 99 v6

So there's this 18 year old kid I work with. Has a 99 v6 mustang. It's black, has some nice rims, 01+ headlights and bullitt pedals. At first I thought the kid knew what he was talking about. Then it all changed.

So first he thinks a cai will only add 3rwhp. This is true for his car but he said it included everything. Even terminators.

He has said multiple times that he wants to remove his "governor chip". At first I thought it was so he could speed. But nope, he wants to remove his rev limiter so he can rev up to 7k. I told him his engine would have problems if he did that. He said he'll get an exhaust first. According to him the only thing that would destroy the engine is exhaust gases going back into the cylinder from the restrictive stock exhaust. Apparently he hasn't heard of valve float. Or egr.

I've tried explaining this **** since I had a 02 mustang for like 2 years and have been on here forever but he doesn't think I know anything.

Sigh

When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree,
there will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see,
there will be an answer. let it be.

Let it be, let it be, .....

And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light, that shines on me,
shine until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be, .....

Lol yeah. My focus has a DOHC I4 and only revs to 6500.

I'll tell him to join up and post his plans for the car.

I tried to complement him on his bullitt pedals but the convo went like this:

"saw you have bullitt pedals. Looked cool"
"billet pedals"
"i know they're made of billet aluminum but they're from the bullitt mustang"
"billet mustang"
*sigh* "in 01 Ford made a special edition of the mustang called bullitt. It had those pedals"
"but they're still billet pedals"
"i know."

Truth.

I went to a local car meet past weekend in my 06 GT. Had a guy come up to me right after I arrived and start giving me crap because why in the world would I make a v6 Mustang look fast and that was pointless and stupid. ( I removed the GT side badges and put Tribar emblems on side of the car cause I liked the looks of the Tribar better )

I asked him if he heard me arrive and he said yes, sounds ok for a V6 but a V8 would be better and I should know better then to try and act like I had a fast car. Small crowd of people gathered around to see the car and 99% of them were smirking cause they knew what an idiot he was making himself to be.

The 06 is cammed with Comp Thumpr cams, long tube headers, offroad H and Bassani exhaust.
