Default mustang tracks results ATCO, NJ 11/28

Well, First off the track traction was soooooooo bad and progressively got worse…….All I can say is wow. I am very pleased with the potential and that there is soooo much left in her the way it sits once I put a tire on her.

2005 Mustang 4.0 Auto Non Posi

Best time Bone stock running front tires @ 40psi and rear tires @ 25psi stalling @ 1800rpm

60 2.309
330 6.432
1/8 9.820
MPH 72.63
1000 12.728
1/4 15.195
MPH 91.24

Since then I have done the following,

Evolution Performance SCT 93 tune with C&L CAI
Custom H-pipe with GT take-off Mufflers

Made 5 passes with traction being the issue of the night………

Run 1
Front tires @ 40psi, Rear Tires @ 25psi Stalling @ 1800 rpm

Spun horribly, got out of it and back in it
RT .046
60 2.631
330 7.095
1/8 10.497
MPH 72.77
1000 13.306
1/4 15.834
MPH 82.87

Run 2
Front tires @ 40psi, Rear tires @ 20psi Stalling @ 1500rpm

Spun Horribly, Got out of it twice and then finally hooked
RT -.015
60 2.607
330 6.824
1/8 10.200
MPH 73.17
1000 13.082
¼ 15.528
MPH 89.79

Run 3
Front tires @ 40psi, Rear tires @ 18psi launching off idle

Spun but was able to get out of it quick enough and back into it
RT .180
60 2.179 Best 60 FT.
330 6.231
1/8 9.566
MPH 73.85
1000 12.427
¼ 14.862 Best 1/4
MPH 92.41

Run 4
Front tires @ 40psi, Rear tires 18psi off idle

Spun through the 60 foot mark. Not only did I hear it but about 6 people witnessed it. I actually watched the display show my 60 foot time before the car held the track…LOL

RT .150
60 2.305
330 6.539
1/8 9.955
MPH 72.83
1000 12.836
¼ 15.273
MPH 92.42

Run 5
Front tires @ 40psi, Rear tires @ 18psi off idle
The worst traction of the night. No matter what I did I could not get the car to hold the track

RT .120
60 2.772
330 6.943
1/8 10.277
MPH 74.06 Best 1/8 MPH
1000 13.128
¼ 15.554
MPH 92.84 Best MPH

If you look at the last 3 passes you can see the potential power that my car is putting out. It’s insane the torque this car has now. I cannot begin to think what this car would actually put down at the track with a good tire. I still have to do the TB bypass and install the UD pulley. I am very pleased right now. There is so much more in the car

One thing for sure is that I need a tire from here on out and will have to go LSD

Next is to get my GT out before the end of the track season.

Nice job! Run 3 had a very good 60' for a pegleg. After my first trip to the track with my S197, I too wanted LSD.

I am on the stock 16" wheels and tires.........

yes I am heating the tires. I am on it about 4000rpm about 5-7 seconds to get a nice burnout. There is no way with the traction issues last night I would be able to launch the car without heating the tires" Not like it mattered" LOL. The car is putting down crazy torque now. I Def needs tires now........

these stock tires suck as it is so that doesnt help. When I got home I saw the weather where dense fog was forming in the area so It was just a bad night altogether for traction..............

Might as well get the UD pulley and TB bypass done. Then look on what tire/wheel combo to use.

The BFG's suck, but the pneros actually are pretty good. They hooked better than my Nittos.
