Ok i kind of feel stupid for asking this but what about GT500 take offs has anybody tried them or does anyone know something about them. I'm just wondering because i did a little bit of searching and found a couple of places that sell them but i kind of figured that theyd sound a lot like the GT take offs.

well the trailer hitch is what started this all... my flowmaster wouldnt fit with the trailer hitch .. so i went dual.

I have a 400 lb trailer that i pull 2-3 times a year, no since wasting gas in my f-150 which gets 12 mpg for that....

i love the trailer hitch on my car, absolutely, i think its one of the best mods ive done... i did 2 car shows this month, and many mustang owners have wanted to know where i got it, how much it cost, etc...

bottom line, its still a bad *** car.

Duals are awesome. I lost the auction for the GT takeoffs anyway so no go on that route yet. But eventually I'll get a dual setup. Not sure how soon but yours sure sounds good. One of the top ones I've heard on video.

My choice of GT takeoffs was my attempt at going duals on the cheap. Your setup sounds good but I need more dough for that vs what I was attempting.

Too bad I couldn't hear it in person....coming to Ohio any time soon??? I've only heard 2 setups in person. Sounded ok but nothing that made me say "that's what I want".

thedragon----From what I've learned GT500's use the same mufflers as a GT.

not trying to start a war or anything, i know everyone has their own opinion to a hitch on mustangs... most hate it... but....

i love it

the mustang is rated to tow 1000 lbs, check your owners manual
the hitch bolted in the FACTORY holes for a hitch, just as FORD designed it.
its cool that my car will turn heads as i cruise, and if by chance i need to pick something up from home depot, i can... jmo... to each his own. As stated before, several folks at recent car shows took out a notepad and pen and wrote down the model number of the hitch, they were very interested...

Did you have to cut your rear bumper for the extra muffler...did the kit come with a templete? ....my son has an 06 with the Pony Package....
