Default BS benchracing question

Ok, so I'm bored in my econ class and was browsing several popular vendors and put together a pretty good package of bolt on performance parts for my car and I was just wondering what kind of numbers what might one expect with these bolt ons. I know the only way to tell would be to buy them, and have it dyno'd, but I'm sure I could get a ballpark from someone who actually has most/all of these parts.

Here's my list.
-MAC long tube headers
-Bassani full x pipe cat back exhaust
-JBA plug wires
-autolite revolution HT plugs
-C&L intake
-powerhouse aluminum driveshaft
-T-Lok
-3.73 gears
-bama 93 race tune

i feel like I'm forgetting something, but that's the major components. This would run me around 3 grand give or take a few hundred. i feel like maybe 25 rwhp gains are possible with all that, not to mention 100hp on the butt dyno from what I've heard lol. This is just hypothetical though, and I'm just wondering, as this stuff isn't happening anytime soon.

Very low 14's with a solid launch. You are at a disadvantage with the vert for sure. That extra weight is a killer. If you don't have allot of launch experience, don't expect anything stunning...even high 14's are very possible. There is ALLOT of driver influence within the 14 range.

My runs with an empty vs full tank were always around .15 faster, so that extra weight is something consider at our low HP numbers.

I expect my numbers to drop to 14.3 after the AL driveshaft (for a frame of reference). After that, I am likely going to just spray and throw myself way down to 13.3-13.4. I believe those are very realistic numbers with a 100 shot.

IMO, if you are after numbers...skip the headers and get a bottle. MUCH better bang for the buck.

14's are fine, that'd be alright for a vert. What kind of HP/TQ numbers might one expect with this combo?

With all you listed in the OP? Right at 200 even at the wheels. I dont have a clue what that equates to at the crank...dont really care.

My last dyno was 193.4 which I found respectable for sure.

You forgot some things like

Steeda UDP's
LCA and UCA for better launch
Wider/Stickier tires
Tokico and Eibach shocks/springs.

Those + what you could get you in high 13's.

Yeah, I had BMR UCAs, LCAs, and lowering springs in this imaginary makeover package as well as toxico D-spec shocks and a take off rear sway bar.......boy I wish I could win the lottery haha.

Getting 13's in a naturally aspirated 4.0L vert is not gonna happen. The ONLY 4.0L in the 13's (privately owned) was Boss244's coupe (who later went FI). With my pony Package 4.0L/5spd coupe (lighter than a vert), I had a best ET of 14.312. Here's a pic Rygen took that day. My mods then were:

C/L intake
Evolution Performance 93 octane tune
PHP Alternator Pulley
Dual GT take-off exhaust with Ford x-pipe
Stock clutch/flywheel
PH Aluminum Driveshaft
7.5" 4.10's with T-Lok
LCA's from CHE
UCA from BMR
Panhard Bar from CHE
275/50R17 M&H Racemaster DR's
Line Locks (for heating the DR's, not launching)
Headlight delete (removed driver's side for colder air into CAI)

Now that list isn't much more than most other bolt-on 4.0L's, and there are a few things I had not installed that could be done (like headers, a Zabtech TB, and a hotter ignition).

In terms of dyno numbers, they are just that - numbers. A DynoJet will read higher than a Mustang Dyno, and atmospheric conditions will also affect the numbers. Using dyno numbers from one car to the next does not make for a good comparison.

I'm not going to be taking my car to the drag strip any time soon, so I'm not too worried about all of this, I was just curious how much of a difference it would all make.

I've seen some slips on dragtimes.com w/ those mods in high 13's

http://www.dragtimes.com/Ford-Mustan...lip-13791.html
http://www.dragtimes.com/Ford-Mustan...lip-16555.html

But yeah I agree, those are coupes and I don't think a vert can get into the 13's that easy without some other major mods.

FWIW - I wasn't trying to be cocky with ya in my last post.

That first car is Boss244. I haven't seen that 2nd car before. His times are VERY strong for a N/A 4.0L, especially considering his relatively poor 60' time. Perhaps my ad blocker wouldn't show it, but did he put up a time slip?
