Are there any V6's on here running boost? If so, what mods if any did you do to the engine? I'm looking at the D1SC when I get back from Iraq, and was thinking of running SSM's stage 3 heads/cams kit. I also want to run a meth kit with it. Anyone do this....pros/cons?

I have the Xcharger Xtreme, running about 12lbs of boost. I didn't change anything on the stock engine, still have the stock bottom and heads - and have >156,000 miles on it (about 60,000 with the Xcharger on it and was running nitrous for two years before that).

Lol, same thread posted on s197forum. Between the two sites and others, you'll get a lot of responses.
Jim runs a mean V6.

X-Charger 2.8 with nothing done to the engine, and I plan to add the intercooler kit. Many people have put tons of boosted miles on these stock engines.

LOL....yeah I wanted as many opinions as I could get, since not everybody's all on the same forums. Also, the V6 section there was dead, and thought I could bring some life to it LOL.

I run a intercooled Vortech , I have meth , but not really necessary with the air to air , it works wonders , I have programmed the meth to come on now at 7 lbs and progress to about 400 cc due to the cooler weather (more boost ) stock everything else down to tires and rear

I have a Vortech V2 chargecooled with a 2.62 pulley. All stock longblock, about 20k on the engine with boost.
I would recommend headers, better wires, a stall convertor, and an aluminum driveshaft to get the most out of the boost.
