Default Second opinion needed on shaking steering wheel.

Alright so since I put on my new tire/rim set from AM(3 weeks ago) I've had a slight shake in the wheel randomly at 45+ but sometimes it'll be gone at 80. I already had the tires re-balanced, had an alignment done and all that but still the bastard remains.

My next guess would be tire pressure-- 51 max and they currently vary from 35-39, from this I thought this might be the problem so I was going to get them adjusted a little. If that wasn't going to work I was going to see about getting either a road force balance(provided I can find someone), or see if someone can tell me if my wheels are off center. The tires being off center wouldn't make sense because they've been taken off/put back on by a few pro tire shops.

Oh and the stock tires never did this.

Edit:

What I've done:
  • Gotten an alignment
  • Re-balanced
  • PSI adjusted
  • Took the rotor clips off
  • Called AM, the wheels are hub centric.
  • Cleaned the contact surfaces
  • Torqued the lugs

Just in a haze, needed some input.

Did you take the little 'washer' type thing on the lugs off? After market wheels will shake with those on while the stock wheel clears it. It is only there to hold the rotor on during assembly.

What he said^^^^^^
If that does not fix it try the Road Force, I had a 55 MPH vibration on my F-150 that the Road Force balance fixed

I take it this little bugger is what you guys are talking about? I can see how the stock would clear and the new ones wouldn't...

I had the problem on my integra when I put a set of Enkei's on. The fix was hubcentric rings. Apparently the wheels where not centering when bolted up which the rings corrected.

Are your rims hubcentric?
Do you need the adapter rings?

Yes, the device that holds the rotors on
during production before the calipers are installed.
Pull the clips and throw them away.

I took the washer things off, I guess I completely spaced on taking them off when I originally put on the tires. Gonna take her out and see what happens.

Also AM said all their tire/rim packs are lugcentric.

You're not supposed to be running anywhere NEAR the max tire pressure stamped on the sidewall. START with the pressure recommended in the OM and on the driver's door jamb placard and then experiment . Most people are running 30-35 PSI; very few over 35 PSI.

Max on the tire sidewall is not the correct
pressure for the loading the mustang presents on the tire...

Max pressure is for max loading...

My bad I meant to say adjusted instead of filled, they all now have 35 PSI, I took off the tires, removed the rotor clip things, cleaned the surfaces, put them back on and had them torqued. Everything sits flush, no play or anything.

It's still shaking, where in the world did I go wrong? It never did this with the stocks...
