Exactly; that's why I drive around the v6 turbo, and making well over 20 mpg overall. Gotta pay to play, though, to some extent; a balance of economy vs. power can be a real biatch.

My '14 is a base V6 with no spoiler or anything else to set it apart from the pack. The only hint of the hurt that I can lay down would be the Brembo pack wheels and the 285mm tires on all four corners. I can just edge out a lightly modded 2008 4.6 to the 1/4(did it three times on Friday) but my chassis ate a 2012 Boss 302 alive at an autocross in February, and there were only a very few people who were faster at the autocross yesterday. That being said, I can count the individual components of the suspension that are Ford original on just over one hand(front lower control arms, front wheel hubs, upper control arm, axle). Only the steeda cold air intake and tune under the hood, to be followed by 3.31s and a Torsen T2R when the diff gets delivered this week(gears got here first).

This is a good example of a sleeper.
