My $1300, 2005 Mustang

Now let's get back to that hood that we had a sneak peak of. Came off a stang that was in a front end collision. Fortunately my step dad is a master at body work.
Getting started on the front end repairs.
Time to be primered
getting the bottom done
Dat cervini's!
Ready to be painted
Last time it'll see this hood hopefully.
Time to get this thing installed
Turns out the inside of the hood was stripped out a bit, and it was impossible to find a good size bolt.
Had to go with these.
And covered the screw in jb weld to hold the striker bar in.
Hard to get the gap just right, when you have a hood that was in a front end collision and a car that was used as a bumper car by the previous owner.
But we were able to get the fender unbolted and pulled out a bit, and got the gap lined up better.

I am sorry about all the trouble you went through in the past period.
The work you did is just amazing , you've come so far now since you got the car....its looks like a complete new car..
What's next ?

Next I am going to get the door panels finished, the rear decklid black out removed and replaced with vinyl (like a racing stripe), louvers for the rear windshield, I have another bumper I'm working on much like the hood, replace my grill, and a few other things.
Thank you sir! Much appreciated!

I think I just read 2 years worth of Mustang restoration. Great job. your patience has paid off.
In the beginning that car looked like something begging to be taken to the gun range and used for target practice. Actually, with all of the trash inside I would gave poured about 10 gallons of diesel fuel in and on it, tossed a match inside, and walked off.

Well, got some birthday presents. It's been a while since I updated! Wife bought me the pypes true dual mid muffler system, and let me just say, that's where mufflers belong. I love it.
My step dad repaired a GT bumper for me to go with that dual exhaust.
Last ever pic with that ugly bumper on
Had to remove the tail light to get the new bumper on
New bumper on
Time to saw off that old exhaust
Time for the new
Pretty sure this was a pic of me cursing out American Muscle/Pypes for sending me the wrong size exhaust clamps
I don't know who snapped this pic or when they picked up my phone, but must have been my wife or mother. Me and my stepdad trying to get the exhaust to fit right. It was hours of trying to bend each piece right and finding that no matter what we did, something didn't fit right.
Getting the new hangars up for that LH exhaust... after tapping the holes we realized we put them on backwards the first time.
Wanted the tip out just enough to read the pypes logo, but not obnoxiously sticking out.
