Default Fuse cover removal

I need to replace fuse #61 on my '08 S197 and I hate to admit it but I am stumped. I took off the trim panel, which exposed the fuse box, and I removed the small panel at the bottom which showed me a small number of fuses. But I think the one I need to get to us under the large, flat fuse cover and I can't really see how to get it off. There are three little tabs on the right side that I can see and I released them (after dropping the glove box door) but are there tabs on the left/back side also? I can neither see nor reach the back part of the fuse cover; is there another way to get to the hidden fuses? Thanks!

Don

are you talking about the smart junction box? the one behind the passenger side kickpanel? if so, there is a 10mm bolt holding it to the car, its in the middle. I hope you've figured this out by now. good luck

Thanks for the reply. I did see the bolt but did not realize it must be removed. Are you saying to take out the bolt and lift the fuse box off the 'wall' and work on it in your hand? It does look like that is the only way to open the large cover.

Thanks,
Don
