Do I like them? Heck yes. Are they a little big and meaty? Yes but for $100/tire still can't beat it! Have not had a chance to check for rubbing, but I think it will be fine. Still needs a lowering kit, bout an inch should do it for me. $$ Spent in total, ~$1350 incl tax, shipping, install.

Looks great! I'd definitely be interested in more pics of the whole car. From what I've read from other people on other forums, they won't rub, but I'd like to know if you get any rubbing.

Bummer. There are other 275 x 45 x 18s out there, but they are not as much of a deal... When these wear out, I'm probably going 40 series...

got some wobble with my new wheels so taking it in the Discount Tire to see if they did not balance them properly or the hub-centric ring is not working properly. If they can't get this to smooth out, going to have to bite the bullet for some Enkei PF01s..

I saw another thread where one guy could not get his Drag Wheels to work vibration free, so he had to return them.. I like the style for me, but I'm not into having my hands vibrate while driving!

That's more than likely just a balancing issue. I ended up going with the Nitto NT555s and I like them a lot, but I also would have liked an extra $200 in my pocket. lol.

Sorry to hear that about the balancing issue. Any rubbing so far though?

None that I can see or am aware of. I made some 3 point turns at the airport and no weird sounds or rub marks on the tires that I can see. Went through a couple corners spiritedly and nothing I could tell. I have been trying to avoid full lock though just in case. I need to get it on jack stands and put the wheels lock to lock and see where it is at, then press an a-arms up with a jack and see how far up I can get it to simulate as in a hard corner. Back wheels should be no prob, but I'm going to check anyways too.

I have to install my Hurst shifter, so if there is good weather and the family lets me, might get to it in the next weekend or two assuming I get the front wheel death wobble fixed.

You and me are in a similar boat. I need to tighten the bolts between the right header and the right pipe of my H pipe, and I also have a Saleen short throw block adapter coming in. I am going to try and time the two together so I only have to put it on the lift once.

Wheels were not balanced properly, shop did a good job this time, but now I have to remove the old adhesive off my new wheels... still a big relief, but anyways

Put the front wheels to lock and took a look.

View of wheel at lock
Click the image to open in full size.

Top of wheel to fender gap, looked to be about 3 inches
Click the image to open in full size.

Passenger side front to forward fender apron, looked to be about 1 inch clearance
Click the image to open in full size.

Plenty of clearance with stock ride height and suspension at rest. Like I said, going to need to test it under compression to the bump stops... might not be able to fully do that until I replace the springs, but I'll give it a try with a jack.

Also found a thread with a reference to same tires (see post by Azonie and his pics)

Nice, thanks for the pics! Also, thanks for that thread. Can't wait to get my wheels and mount everything up.

really digging seeing these pics of 275/45/18's on 9" wheels, I want to do the rear in 275's (I have 255's all around, s'ok but hey I want it beefer in the rear..) next go-around but wasn't sure if it would work without having the sidewall hanging in the breeze. Wish AM had their 275/45 sumitomos in stock I'd get 2 now for the rear and save those 2 rears for the front.. (stagger - lots of bad roads around here I think with 275's in the front I'd be tramming too much for my comfort.)

I drive a concrete freeway (I-25) every day with parallel lines in it. Does not tram much more than with the 235s I had. Certainly nothing that scares me and try to have a light grip on the wheel. Tread may have a lot to do with it, these Contis seem to be pretty quiet and smooth compared to the stock BFGs that I had. The higher profile tire for bad streets and comfort was another reason and so far so good.

Good luck whatever you decide.

That's exactly what I was thinking too with the higher profile tire, regarding the ride comfort. I know it won't make a huge difference, and the ride on my car isn't THAT harsh, but I have gotten some comments from passengers.

Alright, I ordered my SVE Drifts yesterday. I went with 18X9" +35mm all around so I could rotate them. Plus I can always upgrade the rears to 18X10's if they look that much better. Can't wait to get them now!

Ok so I finally got it all together and I love it. It looks so bad ***. But unfortunately, much like Hamidar, it seems my wheels and tires weren't balanced correctly and I have a vibration that starts at 50mph and gets worse the faster I go.

Here's a couple quick shots from after I finished today. I'll take more and better pics after I detail the car tomorrow.

Can't wait til Monday to get these things rebalanced and really enjoy them. I made a couple quick turns tonight and these make the car feel much more like its on rails than the old 255 Nittos. Also with these, I'm saving 8 pounds a corner. 18X9 SVE Drifts with 275/45-18 Continental DW= 53.2 LBS | 18X9 Cragar SS with 255/45-18 Nitto 555= 61.2 LBS

Congrats all-around on saving weight and the look! The wheels and tires look awesome man! They should be able to take care of the balance issue once they get it right!

I have yet to squeal around a corner, these tires were an awesome purchase! Looks even better with your springs!
