Default Is this rim ok to drive on?

Hello it was raining the other night and my friend was about to directly hit the curb in his 1996 f150 but instead turned the wheel so the side of his tire hit the curb and jumped it. Car drives fine but this piece just fell off on the freeway.

Is it ok to drive on? (There is not a crack all the way through the rim)

He is at LAX airport right now so yeaaa lol

I am guessing here.....

BUT I would say yes, it is safe to drive to the nearest tire/wheel shop to buy a new wheel... Seems like it'll only get weaker, so you're on borrowed time. I'd say get it fixed now, don't chance it....

Others may prove my opinion wrong...

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Pull that wheel off your ride and replace it before driving it an inch. One hard turn and that bead blows out and you fly off the road in a firey ball. I am pretty sure this guy had a similar issue with his wheel...

Jazzer..... with just a smidge of hyperboly

Definetly don't drive on it and also make sure the inside of the tire is checked for damage.

Default Safety

No, do not drive on it. The flange is compromised to the point where your bead could easily leak air or hard impact could cause failure/blowout.

Take it off and go get $15 in recycle AL.
