Default Wheel Spacers, good or bad thing?

Hi all,
Today I saw a Mustang on facebook with the performance package wheels and spacers, they looked really nice. This one:

I really like it as I have the same car with the same wheels, mine is white and supercharged. Would there be a problem to change the offset of the wheels? Would it hurt performance? Is is worth doing this at all? Maybe I just should get new wheels with the proper offset, right?

Please advise.

as long as the tires clear the fender lip, i see no problems with using spacers, however the rear tires in this picture look like they will contact the fender on suspension compression.

My understanding is that the farther away the bearings are from the center of the tire the more stress on the bearings. It's a matter of degree. If you go with the spacers then pay more attention to the wheel bearings as the miles go by. I've put spacers on classic Chevys I built to clear suspension parts & had no trouble as long as the spacer isn't too thick. The problem is that they need to be pretty thick to make a difference in looks. You might try contacting companies that make spacers & see if they have an opinion on how much spacer is too much!

If you have the correct offset & back-spacing, wheel spacers shouldn't be needed.

Default I have some questions about wheels, suspension, and fitment.

I really really need help. I have a 2006 Mustang. I've had the car for a little over two years now. I want to upgrade the wheels and suspension but I don't know where to start. I have the stock factory wheels on my car at the moment. I want my wheels to be either 19 or 20 inches, 9.5 w in the front and 10 w in the rear. I want my car really low as well with some nice wheels. I don't know which wheels and coilovers to get and/or spacers if I need them. Can anyone help? sorry I'm new to this site.

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you. But, what you did here was hijack a thread, which is frowned upon in forums. Since it's your first post, we'll let it slide lol.

Start a new thread with any questions you have,. You'll get better responses that way. Good luck.
