Following its debut for the 2024 model year, the S650-generation Ford Mustang continues to soldier on with various updates taking place with each passing model year. That was certainly true in 2025, and it will also be the case with 2026. Though the 2026 Ford Mustang isn’t receiving any major changes – to be expected given its relative newness – there are some notable ones, all of which we’ve outlined here for your convenience.

Here’s a look at the most obvious changes for the 2026 Mustang versus the 2025 model year

  • RTR Package added
  • FX Package (optional on GT Premium 400A and 401A)
  • Bronze Appearance Package is now available on EcoBoost (100A and 101A), EcoBoost Premium (200A) and GT (300A and 301A)
  • California Special Package, 60th Anniversary Package, and Wheel and Stripe Package have all been deleted
  • Dark Horse now gets the 10-speed automatic as standard, while the six-speed manual is optional
  • The Tire Repair Kit is now optional rather than standard
  • Spoiler delete included with convertible models
  • Wedge spoiler is now optional on EcoBoost and GT models
  • Standard wheels change from 18″ machined-face aluminum with high-gloss Ebony Black painted pockets to 18″ painted Shadow Silver cast aluminum
  • 19″ carbon fiber wheels have been deleted
  • Blade decklid spoiler has been deleted
  • Ford Connectivity Package – one year included with all trims, or a one-time seven-year purchase options has been added

2026 New Exterior Colors

  • Adriatic Blue Metallic
  • Orange Fury Metallic Tri-Coat

Deleted Exterior Colors

  • Wimbledon White
  • Intense Lime Yellow Metallic

New 2026 seat belt colors

  • Black with a red stripe
  • Prime Blue
  • International Orange

Other Changes

  • Manual Flip Framed Rearview Mirror standard on EcoBoost, Premium, and GT
  • Aluminum Foot Pedals replaced with Black Foot Pedals on 200A and 400A
  • Replaced Heated, Pony Puddle Lamp Sideview Mirrors with Dual Power Adjustable Sideview Mirrors, standard on 200A and 400A
  • 12.4” LCD Digital Cluster w/ IOD Message Center and 13.2” LCD Capacitive Touchscreen with Swipe Capability standard on 200A/400A
  • Magnesium Framed Panoramic Curved Display (52V) optional on 200A/400A and included with 201A/401A
  • Floor Mats – First Row Carpeted, Black (66B) are no longer standard and are now optional on EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT and GT Premium
  • Universal Garage Door Opener, Illuminated Door-sill Scuff Plates, Deep Indigo Seatbelt – Dark Horse have been deleted
  • Perimeter Alarm is now included with all Convertible and Fastback 201A/401A models
  • ”Security Package” is now known as the “Anti-Theft Package” and is optional on all Convertible and Fastback 201A/401A models
