Changes to the 2013 Mustang: the Hindquarters
Across the back end, all trim levels get a new set of taillights featuring LED rope outers and bright LED inner portions. Unlike the current Mustang rear end–a three-light design integrated into a single housing–the 2013 rear end has each segment set deeper into the fascia with their own unique positions. The reverse lights which split up the three red segments on previous Mustangs are gone.
To give the latest Pony a premium look, the lower portion of the rear end is finished in body color, just like the lower rockers. And there’s also a new LED system in the exterior mirrors which projects the Mustang’s galloping Pony onto the ground when the unlock fob is pushed. Pretty cool.
