Ford built this one-of-a-kind Bullitt via a partnership with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to be raffled off, Nov. 9.

Everyone loves a car that they’ve truly made theirs. It’s part of the enduring appeal of the Mustang: A mile-long options list that owners can choose from to personalize their pony car. In fact, when Warner Bros. began production on the iconic 1968 film Bullitt, they had the movie cars mildly customized to look like something a car-crazy police detective would drive.

Of course, the Bullitt Mustang is one of the most iconic cars to ever grace the big screen. It spawned dozens – maybe hundreds – of tribute cars. And in 2004, Ford got in on the tribute game, building limited-edition models that would make Frank Bullitt proud. Until now, if you loved the look of these special ‘Stangs but wanted something a little different, that was up to you. But thanks to a partnership with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Ford has built a Mustang to be raffled off. Make no mistake, this is a Bullitt like no other.

Think of it as the car Frank Bullitt would drive today if he started with a base Bullitt Mustang. Gone is the iconic Highland Green paint (or optional black). Instead, we have a deep Kona Blue, which carries over into contrast stitching inside. Under the hood, the 5.0-liter V8 cranks out 480 horsepower. That’s a 20-horse bump over a stock GT model.

The rest of the car, however, is all Bullitt. Torq-Thrust-style wheels, white cue ball shifter, blacked-out grille, and black rear valance with “Bullitt” badge in the center. It’s the car we all know and love, except it’s entirely unique. Just like any great Mustang should be.

The Kona Blue McQueen Stang is on display starting today at the Ford Media Clubhouse at Kruse and Muer restaurant. For you Dream Cruisers out there, that’s 28028 Woodward Ave. in Royal Oak, Michigan. This weekend, the car is on display at Mustang Alley, at the intersection of 9 Mile and Woodward Avenue in Ferndale. As for the raffle, you can buy tickets at both locations. If you can’t make it, tickets are available here. And if you’re short on time, don’t worry. Tickets will remain available until November 9.
