Hope you haven’t gotten too attached to the face of the sixth-gen Mustang, because it appears that Ford is already revving up to modify it a bit.

Yup, already. So, you might want to hold off if you were planning on picking up a new Mustang, if you can.

According to Car Scoops, the Mustang could get a number of changes as early as 2018, including a new grille. Other reported updates include different lighting units on both ends, new front and rear bumpers, and possibly an all-new 10-speed gearbox.

The engine options for the Mustang are expected to remain the same, with speculation that the 10-speed gearbox will be offered as an option with the V8 model. Rumor has it that Ford could make an official announcement about the updates to the Mustang as early as the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show that takes place in November, or the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit that opens in January.
