97-Year-Old Still Has a Thing for Mustangs

Remember, diehard Mustang fans: you never get too old to be excited about hearing that engine revving when behind the wheel of the Ford pony car.
Just ask Lennart Ribring.
The 97-year-old former Sweedish racer owned one of the first Mustangs when the model first debuted in 1964. But he decided to up the ante more recently by buying a 2016 Mustang GT, manual transmission and all, as highlighted in a Road & Track report.
And nope, it ain’t just for show.
Mr. Ribring actually drives his baby. And he likes showing his new Mustang off to his granddaughter, who has to think she has the coolest granddad in the world.
She certainly wouldn’t get any arguments from us here at Mustang Forums on that claim. Much like R&T, at 97, we just hope we’ve still got the drive that Mr. Ribring has to be wheeling a 400-plus-horsepower Mustang around town.
Hell, we just hope we’re still able to drive.
