With the country getting hitting with record snow falls the guys at Roush figured they’d make use of the slippery white stuff.
After acquiring a set of Pirelli snow tires for Jack Roush Jr.’s Stage 3 Mustang, the team mounted the car up with a couple GoPro cameras to see how well the new tires could handle 700 horsepower in the snow and ice.

The Roush Performance team of Jack Roush Jr. and Billy Johnson kicked off the 2013 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge season in style, winning the season opener at Daytona in their No. 61 Mustang Boss 302R. Since then they’ve had a rough go of it, though, finishing in the top ten just once in the last five races. The duo has definitely been fast enough to be front runners, but a mix of bad luck and mistakes have put the team near the back of the back.

It’s really easy to get bogged down in numbers and statistics when talking about custom cars. They’re always more powerful, more grippy, more of everything really. While it’s important to know exactly how much more ass your car will kick after being tuned, a video is a much better way to get an idea of the attitude a custom car will carry. It’s really the next best thing to a test drive.

Today Roush announced the details for the 2014 lineup including the RS, Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3 Mustang. While much remains the same for 2014, just like the factory lineup, Roush has brought a few updates to the table highlighted by an additional 10 horsepower for the Stage 3 (up to 575 from 565) and a new Ford Racing Aluminator engine option for customers that might want to add even more horsepower to the supercharged 5.0-liter V8.
