Street Car Takeover Burnout Contest Leaves Tires in Its Wake

Car shows, auto shows, local club meets, the works. Every time we enthusiasts get together in large groups, someone always needs to look like a hero and either attempt to drift or rip a burnout in the middle of an intersection. Usually, this is immediately followed up by the blues and twos pulling said moron over and ripping them a new one while slapping said offender with a hefty shenanigans fine.

This video below, however, is one of the only times that drivers are allowed to act a fool on the streets, thanks to something called the Street Car Takeover Burnout Contest that happened in St. Louis, Missouri earlier this year. The vid shows everything from Mustangs to trucks to sedans to drift cars, lighting up their rear ends in the hopes of absolute tire destruction.

I think we need more of these events around the country, because who doesn’t want to see a ton of muscle cars, trucks, and drift cars destroy all tires?
