First Hennessey HPE700 Mustang Takes Flight

Hennessey is one of the most respected names in the high-end tuning scene. Hell, this is the man that chopped a Lotus in half, crammed a huge motor in the ass of it, and then went chasing after the world speed record. But while Hennessey usually sticks to GM and Mopar products, the new Mustang was too good for John Hennessey to pass up.
One of their new turn-key packages is called the HPE700. As the name suggests, this monster is sending 700 horsepower to the wheels thanks to a new 2.9-liter supercharger that has been slapped on top of the Coyote 5.0-liter V8. Other than a quick note about it taking “no time to 110” the video doesn’t offer any hard performance specs, but rest assured this thing will be quick. If Hennessey has cut the limiter, 175 mph should be well within reach, and if traction cooperates, a 0-60 sprint should be knocked out in less than four seconds.
This is the first finished car, and there will be more to come. If you have your name on that order list I envy you greatly, and if you want to share the experience with a friend, just drop me an email. For the rest of us, hit that play button and listen to the angry wail of 700 supercharged horses as this 2015 Stang gets flogged.
