Default 2.3 Ecoboost Long Term

How satisfied are you guys with your 2.3 Ecoboost after a year or so driving it?

I am finding some pretty decent deals on 1 yr old EB Convertibles but a couple have over 30k miles and so I am concerned that I will not have a lot of warranty left, in spite of the savings.

Bumper to Bumper is 36k, so if there are basic nit noid issues to look for, let me know.

Powertrain warranty is longer so not really an issue with the Engine and Transmission, but these days less and less is considered actual powertrain.

Would you buy a 1-2 year old Ecoboost Mustang with 35k miles or so? If it was a pretty decent price like in the low 20s?

I did find another one like in the 27k range with a lot less miles, but low 20s is pretty cheap for a nice car.

Thoughts??

Are those convertibles? because that seems to be what he's stated that he's looking at. If so, then yea, that's the way I would go too.

Yea, looking at convertibles. I am going to put if off just a bit unless a killer one with low miles comes along. I found on in Salt Lake but was too late as it sold pretty fast. Only want it in Black with Automatic and Ecoboost.

Side note, my son just bought a Fiesta ST, more fun for around 20k than should be legal.

Literally just registered here bc I'm in the same boat, but out on the east coast. My main concern is if the grunt of the EB4 is enough vs a GT....

Not necessarily, my other fun car is a STI, 2.5 Flat-4, 412whp, 380ft lbs of torque.

Hi yes I am finding same thing.. 15 eco-boost PREMIUM---big difference than base for low$ 20's---vs $34k new----What your thoughts long term....? Keeping it for 100k miles as a daily driver,,,,, a lot cheaper but limited warranty unless you buy AN ESP---which increases cost...hmmmmm $20k though is enticing!

Id stay away from the 15 EB. There was a lot of engine failures with the first year. There has been a lot less problems with the Cleveland EBs. And no the EBs down have enough grunt compared to the GTs. Don't buy an EB to drag race. My other fun car is a GT with about 800whp.
