I saw where there is a class action suit against Ford regarding problems with the manual transmissions from 2011-2019. What brand trans is in the 2020 model? I'm assuming that if it would be compatible without/ with minor modifications if it is a different make.

 

I believe 2011 to current 2020 have the same Getrag transmission. German designed, Chinese built.

2020 has no data to support it being included in the current filing though which may be why it was not included. That may change depending on how long the lawsuit drags out and if/when people start having issues.

 

Thanks. I'm not experiencing any issues (yet) and hopefully won't. Just thinking ahead.
