T-Top
well as tempting as that sounds i think i will pass
i want a kit that will let me cut the roof in a T and place glass panels in it
i want it to look like it came off the assembly line
not a hack job (no offence)
id really like to see some pics of that though

I was thinking about a sun roof or the glassback....Ok the truth is I really wanted a convertable....but those renderings are SWEET! Now if only we could figure out who or if someone actually makes it!!!
i know a lady who works at a glass shop here where i live and she happens to know a guy in indiana who does custom glasswork for targa tops and t-tops. once she gets a hold of em, i'll let you know and you can decide what to do from there.
Yeah, sorry...when I looked at the link I didn't notice the 05-06 version. I stumbled upon their website afterwards and found it...Thanks!

fitbikeco, it costed me $8.32 (which is for the saw blade at home depot) to chop the top on my car. and i have not seen anyone with it. and it took about 4 hours. other than it's not too hard. i would post pics but i already posted some and i don't know if it would be considered reposting.
plus when i get the money i can just have a removable glass top for it. i know a place that can make it here where i live.

the roof on a car is not only for looks it is a structural part of the car when you take it off the structural integrity of the car is lost
the vert makes up for this by extra frame structure supports which makes it heaver but still structurally sound
i wonder if he knew this before choppin the top out
as i stated in one of my previous threads i used 1 inch by 1 inch solid square steel poles for support. i got the rails from a company in my town for about 114 bucks and just welded them on in one big square. when people look under the car they wonder what the f#ck is this big thing for? i tell them support.
don't worry man, i knew what i was doing when i cut it. my buddy dan works as a technician at ford where i live. he asked his friend who owns a metalworks place to bend them for me so they flow with the frame. if you didn't pay close attention you would think they were from the factory. anyways, he rolled them through this this big metal machine and the poles did all these wierd twists and turns to curve the metal. all i did was have to take measurements.
