If you get right up on top of the rear, you can see the slight gap. I cannot see the "color ring" unless I'm right up on top of it, looking for it. What some others have done, is put like some electrical tape, or something of that sort, around the badge, prior to installation.....I really haven't found it necessary......

Thanks a bunch...
Now, keep in mind that this particular panel is a "dark dark smoked" finish. It is not solid blackout. Same with the bezels. However, once you get it against the rear panel, it pretty much blacks it out all the way. Depends upon the light you are looking at it in.........

Just didn't want you to be surprised......

The panel is not solid blackout, i.e. black plastic. In the right light, or let's say, if you held a flashlight up to it, you could see through it. However, your Tungsten is not that far off from my Mineral, and you can see in the photos above that you can't see color through it.....

I got mine from #DCarbon and had it painted at the shop. Very solid piece. The panel is flush with the tail lights so it is one continuous, smooth transition all across Love it!!!
