GRRRR its so annyoing. Driving down the road is like a pain because there seems to be a rattling noise coming from the speedo area yet everytime i lean up to see if i can pinpoint i cant ever find it. I tried holding down deifferent pieces to see if i could find it that way but to no avail....Any thoughts???

My 04 GT did the same thing, except it was from the center air vents...my 06 rattles on the doors from the door speakers, and my drivers side seat sqeaks too. I just turn my music up enough so I can't really hear it and try not to think about it. I had the dealer look at my seat when I was getting my windows tinted, and the sqeaking was gone for about 2 days. Seems like rattling is common to all Mustangs...now that I think about it, my crappy 93 4-banger had rattling everywhere in the interior too.

The chrome bezels around my speedo does the same thing, and my shift boot squeeks in 5th gear, and now there's a new rattle in front of the ****er between the a/c ***** and the console.

Dealer told me to bring it and they would fix it for me if I could leave it for a day.

My dealer doesnt do loaner cars either

I thought just about every dealer either used a rental car company, or had loaners of their own. I work for a rental car company and every major dealership in my area uses rentals or their own loaners, but maybe that's just the area where I live. That would suck if you had a major problem that took days to fix...

If I remember correctly you should be able to pull out the piece of the center console so you can access the back of the air vents...I think that's how the rattling on mine started in my 04. Didn't own it long enough to try to put something back there to stop the rattle...

sh*t, you guys ar lucky; the driver's side rear view mirror is loose and rattling and no matter how much you turn up the music it just rattles more!!! so it sounds like crap when the windows are down and it sounds like crap when someone is next to you at the stoplight....

The noise I thought was coming from my speedometer was actaully the parking brake release button vibrating. Push on it next time your hear the rattle and see what happens.
