Default Painted Inner rim

I did this for a reason but when I was done I thought it looked really nice, thought that I would post it since I enjoy seeing what other have done.

Then reason I did it was the first winter I stored my rims something happened they got all pitted and cloudy

I have wet sanded and polished them and they look good again and they have stayed looking nice but the inside are to tough to keep looking good so I roughed them up and hit them with some 900F temp paint and they turned out great.

I took some pictures for myself along the way so here you go.

Wow, those look nice.. and the pits and cloudyness almost look like salt damage.. like the salt ate through the metal... did you not wash them off after going to the beach or something?

Ah I see .. heh, well Im just guessing on the salt damage but that looked like what happened to my friends tires so it could possibly be the same for you. About how long did it take you to prep and paint them? And did you use a kit or just bought paint?

Well the first one took about 1 1/2 hour to get it taped and make a cut out for the center but the other 3 were about 50 mins 10 to tape it and 2 coats so 20 mins dry time between , I just used some 60 gritt and wet sand the inside dryed it well and used a can of 900 degree F spray paint from auto store was for calipers brakes.

like $8 for paint and $3 for sanding block.

Yeah I did 2 or 3 coats on each rim and theres still about 1/4 can left it went on real nice and as long as you don't over do it no runs or tacky rough feel not that you will be rubbing the under side of the car much.
