I just used some self-drilling, self-tapping screws. There are two little indentations on the front bumper where the holes should be. A little sketchy, but it's held well so far. I was so bummed to have to put it on, it takes so much away from the front of the car. At least it's not as bad as the Pontiac Solstice. The front license plate goes right over the grill in those cars.

I decided not to put mine on and got a ticket last week while parked in front of my building. It sucks that I have to put that stupid thing on. Looks like crap.

I was disappointed to put the plate on, and even more disappointed to have to drill holes in my bumper to mount it. I got a black frame and clear plastic cover for it, and it looks a little more like it's meant to be there now.

+1..drilled the holes and placed a plastic, slim tag (like a temp tag) behind the metal tag to prevent rubbing the paint. Some folks use foam stickies....

Yeah I want to try and find something that involves no hole drilling when I decide on my new front bumper. I hate that I live in an area that requires it especially when no kits are designed for it. I'm hoping someone has something designed to clip onto the lower grille or something like that.

My dealer had one of their damn tags on the front when I got it. Of course my fun part is I am moving to a state that does not have front plates and I will have those to ugly holes and marks from the plate to contend with, oh well I guess I'll just have to get it filled and painted.
