Part of my purchase agreement with my dealer was the window tint, so I didn't pay for it but all my other vehicles ran around 150 each. I had a bad tint job done on my last vehicle by the guy who also did great work on my other cars, I had him redo it at least 3 times before he just gave me my money back. I then found another tinter who did a damn good job, husband and wife team. The only problem I had was they didn't do it 5% like I wanted but they did redo it, no problems now. Just ask around for somebody who does good work and offers a lifetime warranty.

I would stay away from the chain stores, the ones in my area are overpriced in my opinion.
If your in a moderate sized city, there should be local shops.
You MUST MUST use the better business bureau. www.bbb.org

BBB is only useful as a means to file complaints thus showing what kind of problems different shops have.
It will however save some hassle.
I found a locally owned shop that uses metalized Llumar film 5% on the back window and side quarters, 25% on the front windows, and a 5% eyebrow. Ran me $169 OTD lifetime warranty.
Downside, if its a good shop the lifetime warranty might pay off, however if the shop goes under its worthless.

Others might disagree, but when it comes to things like tint, alarms, audio etc... the BBB has helped me out immensely.

I agree to stay away from the chains. Took into to Ziebart the first time...210 for 30%...not dark at all and it was not the best tint either. Then took it to a custom shop and they did 20% for 150 or so and the tint is much better quality also. No scratching at all yet.....moleskin helps with that though.

Put the moleskin on the inside of your doors first before you get your tint. It will save you the hassle later. Otherwise you'll have scratches all over the tint and have to get it re-done. I took the word of the place i had mine done. They assured me that they did a lot of these stangs and hadn't had any problems. Well, just like most people on here said, i got scratches. My moleskin is on it's way and as soon as it's on i'm getting my tint re-done.
