some people like to look over their shoulder. I've driven several vehicles without a second mirror.. several cars (such as my roommate's 67 GT) didn't have passenger side mirrors (and most didn't get them till the 70's)... I've managed before, and safety, once again, isn't the issue. thanks guys.

Just because old cars didn't have them doesn't mean it's a good idea.
I use my mirrors every day. Idiots try to pass in your blind spot or some kid is riding his bike up behind you at the light when you are about toturn right.
Couldn't think of removing it.
Try backing into your garage without both side mirrors.
It certainly wouldn't look good either.
As for the added "drag" for the mirror... give me a break... I know you must be kidding...
