Default super stripe

Just ordered the super stripe kit from baltimore street mods, and was wondering if anyone installed one of these themselves, and if so how difficult was it?

I had mine done by a local shop -- and they said it is a difficult install. I know of one member who did his after mine, and he also said it is more difficult than the traditional le mans style -- but doable. His name is Mike and he goes by mlcrycc hopefully he'll check in here later. You have to take your time - it isn't something that you can plan to hurry through.

Yep. Jim is right. Been there, done that.....

Is it do-able? Absolutely. Plan on taking your time. Originally I was going to do my hood only. Did that on one weekend, and ended up doing the rest of the car the following. DO NOT HURRY THROUGH IT. Rob over at Baltimore Street Mods has excellent instructions, and excellent advice. The Superstripe is a challenge, especially on the hood, due to the stripe width, and several compound angles working against you.....Make sure you have someone help you peel the decal from the backing....to prevent it folding back against itself....

Oh, and keep in mind that I did not do my bumpers, but never intended to. I understand they are a real treat as well......

Mike

I just did mine this weekend. It is not real hard but patience and time are what you need. I did the dual wide hood and reverse C kits from BSM.

Thanks guys I appreciate the help. Since I work a week on and a week off I'll have plenty of time, and when it comes to the car I'm pretty patient and meticulous. Plus I think my wife and son enjoy fooling around in the garage almost as much as I do, so if you say its doable I'm sure well get it done and done right.
Besides the stripe I ordered a bunch of other exterior mods as well so we should have a good old week of family fun to start the summer off with.
I'll be sure and post some pic when we get done.

Thanks again.
Dean

Thanks for all the help guys. I've got everything done but the rear bumper. I'll be taking a little break before getting to that. the only thing I screwed up on the whole deal is the very front of the hood, but that was the first piece I installed. Of course I did that so as if I screwed it up it would be an easy fix, now just have to order the hood kit. I'll have some pics up in a day or two with all the exterior mods we've done over the past couple days.
Thanks again,
Dean
